An ultrasound thickness survey has been carried out on the SS Explorer in the vicinity of the waterline as this is the area considered to be most vulnerable to corrosion. The readings were taken from inside the hull at all accessible frames. X marks frames not accessible.
The results are encouraging with most readings being around 90% of build thickness. A few readings are anomalous, possibly due to external oxidation.
